Hey all, we just had an unusual amount of snow in our Northern Ca town. Schools have been known to close for “snow days” in our county at such DRASTIC LEVELS as 1-2 inches, so, you know, BIG DEAL! ;D Anyway, I thought it might be unusual to see grape vines covered in snow…
So I thought I’d share. Hope you’re having a great weekend and getting in lots of great reading time! 🙂
It all looks so pretty! I’ve only seen the snow a few times so it truly is a thing of beauty for me. ❄️

It really is magical! You must live somewhere even warmer than here. Wow 😮

STOP THE PRESSES!!!
Actually, my wife tells me that I should be impressed, as she’s from CA and knows these kind of things.
Does this mean no work for you tomorrow, what with dangerous driving conditions and all? I say milk it for all it’s worth…

XD XD I wish! We have all-wheel drive, so we’re stuck with being responsible. Drat. But a few of our friends might get away with it…nobody buys snow chains around here!

Very pretty pics! I am originally from Canada but now living in Maryland, so whenever we get like 1-2 inches of snow here and everything shuts down and people drive like snails, I always find it so amusing 😀

Oh my! What happened to “sunny California”? 🙂
Just today a friend who lives in Santa Rosa told me there were three (not one, not two but three) hailstorms yesterday, so I guess this is some weird cold front… Still, the pictures are lovely!

Oh wow, I didn’t know it reached Santa Rosa! Crazy! It has been beautiful…and hilarious, to see boats and Sea Doos covered in snow all everywhere XD

Haha omg!! Hurry – go make a footprint before it melts!!! I live in a similar snowless climate, so I can totally relate! 🙂

N. Colorado here. We are dying for some snow, it was 70 degrees multiple times in February. This is not good! I want everyone’s snow.

I think we’ve had snow twice in my Southern California city, lol. Both times were major events, as you can imagine. Lovely pics! Thanks for sharing:-)

I LOVE this post! I freaked out when I saw pictures that my friends, back home, posted on Facebook…..in Healdsburg, Cloverdale and Windsor they got what looks like snow but was a hail storm. It seems SO surreal! I don’t remember it snowing there since I was in grade-school? How exciting and so crazy! Beautiful pictures, Christy!

Haha, I bet it was! Thanks Jen, I’m so glad the pictures brought you home for a minute! It was magical and very surreal for us, too. We went to church and it was snowing (and we were thinking, “Aw, we’re going to miss it. It’ll be gone by the time we finish.”), but when we came out, everything was covered! It was especially fun watching all the little kids check it out for the first time XD

I’m so happy it was still there, and that you got to enjoy that beauty, when you got out of church. What a fabulous sight it must have been!
